Brian Tackett established the Denton law firm of Tackett Legal, P.C. in 2002. The firm’s practice is devoted to family law and criminal defense.
Brian graduated from law school with a strong desire to be in the courtroom. He sharpened his trial skills at the Denton County Criminal District Attorney's Office. Brian achieved the rank of chief misdemeanor prosecutor for Denton County.
From these positions of trust, his work involved handling complex legal issues: scientific evidence, expert testimony and intricate damage calculation. While at the district attorney's office, Brian represented the people of Denton County in thousands of cases, conducting negotiations and jury trials. He worked closely with crime victims and gained an understanding of the legal strategies used by the criminal justice system.
In private practice, Brian has shifted his legal focus to representing individuals who are facing tough issues. His advocacy skills are now available to persons through litigation of family law matters and criminal charges.
